I have a Roadstar 2000 on my new rv...It has very poor reception which the saleman has now confirmed. Any answers.

Sherry, The RoadStar Antenna is an omni-directional continuously receiving VHF/UHF/FM signals from all directions. There is a RV power supply that works in conjunction with the antenna providing power to the RoadStar Antenna's built-in, solid state amplifier which boosts signals an average of 15dB on VHF, 20dB on UHF. This power supply could be bad or the coaxial cable could have a bad connection/end. I hope this helps. Givonni

it also has a switch that must be turned on for the amp to work.
