Seeing as most (all) RVs operate on a 12 volt system. The only way to hook up two batteries in the system is in paralell because it does not multiply the voltage as is what happens when you hook up the batteries in series.Paralell circuits are hooked up positive to popsitive and negative to negative.The advantage of paralell batteries is that the amperage multiplies,which in simple terms means your bateries will last longer when camping without AC or shore power.The only limit to how many batteries you can hook up is space and pocket book because deep cycle bateries are not cheap.By the way a series circuit is hook up negative to positive etc.(12+12=24+12=36=etc.
